Active Birth Yoga

Suitable for: Pregnancy

The Active Birth Yoga class is an essential preparation for giving birth. The ante-natal yoga postures are very similar to those you will instinctively adopt when giving birth. They provide a welcome wellbeing during pregnancy. This Ante natal Yoga class also teaches deep breathing (nature’s tranquilliser) and useful tools for relaxation that will help during labour. It is a supportive and caring space where you can befriend others.

The Active Birth Yoga class is 2 hours long allowing time at the end for sharing herbal tea and cake, good stories, advice and for raising any questions and concerns. You can also contact Natalie anytime with any antenatal issues you may have.

The Active Birth Yoga class works on a drop-in basis – please contact Natalie to confirm your place first time.

The Garage Studio serving Barnes, East Sheen and Mortlake, provides all equipment needed for the Yoga classes. Wear comfortable clothing, no trainers needed.

Natalie also runs birth preparation and ‘early days’ workshops. For more information, please go to

"The active birth yoga classes gave me the confidence to take control of my own body and prepared me for labour and delivery.  They taught me effective ways of coping using positioning, movement, breathing and relaxation, along with many more strategies for both labour and birth. I really think that I had such an efficient birth due to what I learned and developed in the classes and found the support and advice invaluable. Thank you for helping me to achieve what was a most amazing experience."
