Cath teaches the Iyengar yoga method in a small and friendly beginners class where students are carefully guided through a wide range of introductory poses. These poses increase flexibility, strength and stamina, besides having many other benefits.
Cath’s considerable experience both as a teacher and as a student herself means that she encourages her students to progress at their own rate and to challenge themselves whilst working within their physical limitations. Cath is calm, patient and attentive to individual requirements, modifying poses for people with injuries etc. Her classes are light-hearted, at the same time she honours the respected values of yoga.

About your teacher
Cath has been passionate about yoga since attending her first class in 1988 and believes it is a journey of self discovery where we question and explore the potential of the body and mind and also take responsibility for our own health and well-being. She has been teaching since 2003 and is a certified IYENGAR® Yoga teacher qualified to Intermediate Junior Level 3.
She studies regularly with some of the most senior teachers in the UK and worldwide, recently being taught by Geeta Iyengar in Pune, India. Besides drawing from the experience of her teachers, she is completely committed to on-going learning through self-practice. She is also a qualified massage therapist and reflexologist, practising from her base in Ealing.
