Take a fascinating guided stroll through London’s historic square mile. Delve into the ‘Hidden City’ to experience some of the old Dickensian alleyways and courts. See up-close some of the new iconic buildings that are admired around the globe. Enter secret graveyards filled with victims of the plague. Follow the path of the great fire that destroyed most of the city in the 17C.Visit a roman temple that most people never see. Marvel at the medieval hall that for centuries entertained heroes, villains and Prime Ministers. Learn where and how some of the City’s great financial institutions started.Walk through a colourful Victorian market featured in the Harry Potter films.
About your guide
Ian Treadaway is a professional presenter working in the City. Ian has a diploma in the history of London and has trained as a city of London guide. But more importantly Ian is passionate about the City and helping people enjoy all it has to offer. Ian is also a great story teller and will entertain you with tales and anecdotes you will remember for life! I’ve learnt so much on the last walk, I’m looking forward to doing it again!
